Calculation of material balance - Polyus (Natalka deposit)

Description

• Calculation of the material balance of the flotation operation with the selection of the type and number of flotation machines for the main, control and cleaning operations was carried out according to the qualitative and quantitative scheme of gravity tailings flotation issued by the Customer.
• The calculation was carried out according to the developed Glencore methodology. The calculation took into account the main physical and chemical properties of the pulp (content and specific gravity of solids), the current productivity of the line, the gold content in the feed and semi-finished products. The calculation also assessed the share of tailings recycling and the ratio of wash water, pump performance and the flow rate of the supplied air.

Work performed

Based on the data provided, mass balances of the rough, scavenger and cleaner flotations and the percentage of tailings recycling in each of their operations were calculated, based on which a choice was made for the required number and size of Jameson Cell flotation machines:

• for the rough flotation operation, 2 B8500/12 type flotation machines;
• for the scavenger flotation operation, 2 B8500/12 type flotation machines;
• for the cleaner flotation operation, 2 B6500/24 ​​type flotation machines.
